KFU Vice-President's Message

 

I am delighted and honored to cordially  invite distinguished scientists, researchers and entrepreneurs to participate in the International Date Palm Conference 2020 (IDPC2020) that includes the Sixth Date Palm Symposium (King Faisal University-KFU) and the Third International Symposium on Date Palm (International Society for Horticultural Science-ISHS).

 

The conference will take place during 16-19 November 2020 at the main campus of King Faisal University. The Vice-Presidency for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research in KFU (VPGSR) is the key player in supporting innovative scientific programs and encouraging KFU research scientists and academic staff to undertake team and partnership research approach in conducting research programs. In addition, the VPGSR strongly inspires KFU research scientists and academic staff to share their scientific findings through publishing in high impact journals, regional and global conferences and community outreach events. These activities are well in line with the KFU identity in food security and environmental sustainability and within the KFU Strategic Plan and the Kingdom's vision 2030. The conference is expected to accomplish one of the main goals of (VPGSR), provide an important opportunity and platform to stakeholders in the field of date palm worldwide to share knowledge and exchange experience.

 

I welcome you to Alahsa, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and hope that the conference will address challenges facing the date palm sector globally and inspire participants for more collaborations and innovative partnerships.
