Outstanding Faculty Members Award
A faculty member is a key element in any educational institution that seeks to advance and thrive. The educational system cannot be completed, in its three dimensions: effective teaching and learning, sound scientific research, and community engagement, without distinguished and ambitious Faculties. King Faisal University is keen to provide a motivated academic atmosphere. Accordingly, the Deanship of Development and Quality Assurance has launched an award for distinguished faculty members in order to open a new horizons of creativity and honest competition among them, which would lead to progress and prosperity for the University and the surrounded environment.
Award Goals
The Outstanding Faculty Member Award aims to achieve the following goals:
Motivate faculty members to provide best practices and applications.
Motivating faculty members to follow up the developments in the field of teaching and evaluation policies.
Motivating faculty members to follow up the developments in the field of educational technology.
Creating an academic environment that is characterized by competition and creativity.
Discovering the various talents that faculty members of KFU have.
Upgrade the quality of the educational process and improve learning outcomes.
Improving teaching and learning process among faculty members.
To enrich scientific research.
Active participation in community service.

General Conditions for Nomination for the Distinguished Faculty Member Award:
- The applicant must have been a faculty member at the university for at least two years without interruption by the time of announcing the application for the Award.
- The candidate must obtain an excellent evaluation from the head of the department and the dean of the college to ensure participation in the Award.
- Applicants must be nominated for one category of the Award.
- The candidate must receive 50% of the total point for the Award, as a minimum, in order to compete for the Award. However, the Supervisory Committee may waive this condition based on the recommendation of the Executive Committee.
- Application for the award is through the King Faisal University Excellence Awards platform located on the university's website.
the Supervisory Committee may waive any of the whenever it deems necessary based on the recommendation of the Executive Committee.
Applicants who do not meet the specified conditions or do not provide the required documents will be excluded.
