King Faisal University's 2023 Hackathon: A Global Call to Action for Food Security and Environmental Sustainability
King Faisal University, based in Saudi Arabia, is hosting the Food Security and Environmental Sustainability Hackathon 2023 from October 31 to November 2, 2023, as part of their 2nd International Conference on Food Security and Environmental Sustainability, which is held under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Saud bin Nayef bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the Governor of the Eastern Province, in cooperation with strategic partners, the Ministry of Environment, Water, and Agriculture, and the General Authority for Food Security.
Dr. Muhammad bin Abdulaziz Al-Ohali, the President of King Faisal University, explained that the hackathon aims to scrutinize the state of food security on national, regional, and international levels, tackle its challenges, and develop sustainable strategies and policies. These objectives align with the sustainability and innovation goals of Saudi Vision 2030, reflecting the Kingdom's ambition to be at the forefront of sustainable development and technological innovation.
