This study aimed to explore critical thinking skills most exercised among the students of the Faculty of Education, King Faisal University. The researchers used the California test for critical thinking skills model (2000) which consists of five skills (i.e. analysis skills, induction skills, inference skills, deductive skills, and evaluation skills). After verification of its psychometric properties, the test was administered on 500 randomly selected students. To answer the research questions of the study, the researchers employed statistical tools including means, standard deviations, t-test, and analysis of variance (ANOVA). The results showed that analysis skill was the most exercised skill, while the least of which was exercised is the deductive skill. Results also showed significant differences in the level of critical thinking skills based on gender, in favor of females. However, no statistically significant differences were found in the level of thinking skills depending on academic level in all the items of the tool and the items as a whole. Key Words: Innovational thinking skills. Problem solving.
