Educational Life Skills in Kindergarten Children from the Standpoint of Mothers

Abstract

This study aims at extrapolate the most important educational living skills up to kindergartens childrens at Irbid governorate in Jordan from kindergarten childrens mothers point of view, and disclosure the extent of these problems differ depending on child sex, mother qualification, Mother work and kindergarten type. The study sample consisted of 581 Mothers; each had one child in kindergarten. The study found the following results: - Childrens kindergartens having educational living skills that stated in the study tool are in the average grade. - The mothers perceptions of kindergartens childrens showed that the children have the skills fields of healthy, nutrition and precautionary are in the high grade; while the environmental and manual skills fields are in the average grade. - There are statistically significant differences (945; = 0.05) between the arithmetic averages of childrens mothers perceptions of educational living skills up to kindergartens childrens attributed to child sex and for females favor. - There are statistically significant differences (945; = 0.05) between the arithmetic averages of childrens mothers perceptions of educational living skills up to kindergartens childrens attributed to mother qualification for general secondary qualification and less favor compared with intermediate diploma, bachelors degree and higher qualifications. - There are statistically significant differences (945; = 0.05) between the arithmetic averages of childrens mothers perceptions of educational living skills up to kindergartens childrens attributed to kindergarten type and for governmental kindergarten favor. - There are statistically significant differences (945; = 0.05) between the arithmetic averages of childrens mothers perceptions of the five fields of educational living skills up to kindergartens childrens attributed to child sex and for females favor. - There are statistically significant differences (945; = 0.05) between the arithmetic averages of childrens mothers perceptions of the five fields of educational living skills up to kindergartens childrens attributed to scientific qualification of mothers. - There are statistically significant differences (945; = 0.05) between the arithmetic averages of childrens mothers perceptions of the five fields of educational living skills up to kindergartens childrens attributed to kindergarten type and attributed to governmental kindergarten.
