  A chitosan film including ternary metal oxides. In an embodiment, the ternary metal oxides can include tungsten oxide nanoparticles (WO.sub.3 NPs), magnesium oxide nanoparticles (MgO NPs), and a graphene oxide (GO) layer. In an embodiment the chitosan film is porous. The chitosan film including ternary metal oxides can be used as a wound dressing for the clinical management of bacterially infected wounds.
