Abstract

This article discusses the issue of islamization of knowledge, its development, importance, and methodology. Nowadays, there is a big need for combination of divine revelation with modern science to solve the problem of Western methodology in human and social sciences. The Western methodology is suffering / or lacking the emphasis on the spiritual side of human beings and it is also lacking the confidence on the divine revelation as one of the main sources of knowledge. Instead, Western methodology emphasises on the materialistic needs of humans and how to achieve them in life, excluding the spiritual as well as the religious needs of humans. This mistunderstanding of human life led to many deficiencies in both human behaviour and society. It also led to the misunderstanding of the purpose of human life on earth. The Holy Quran, on the other hand, gives the right answer to the human nature, needs and purposes
