Dialogue Subjects and Ethics in the Holy Quran

Abstract

Dialogue is a distinct technique followed systematically in the Holy Quran. It is a suitable method to resolve conflicts among individuals. It is also a major method to call for Allah. Thus, it is critical for those who call for Allah to master such technique. This work dealt with the meaning and importance of dialogue in addition to the subjects reported in Quran. The work presented the ethics of dialogue including preparing suitable atmosphere in addition to being sincere, fair, humble with good manner, patience, forgiver, compassion to debater, keen to convince him, respectful, and being a good listener. The work also clarified the scientific ethics including knowledge, starting with agreed points, starting with important items, adhering to the dialogue topic, bind to location and set time, give evidence, use examples, accept right argument, and acknowledge mistakes. The work main results indicated that dialogue is a successful Qur'anic and prophet technique. It also indicated that dialogue ethics should be known and followed. Furthermore, the work proved that dialogue is a scientific and intellectual need that is necessary to keep on track with the developed world. It also indicated that the absence or rejection of dialogue would increase blundering and lagging. The work recommends that conferences, meetings, and scientific and cultural training programs being organized to prepare Muslim debaters who are able to follow recent political and cultural developments and provide suggestions for improving the relationship among Muslims as well as between Muslim and non-Muslims of other faiths for the welfare of humanity.
