Effectiveness of an Administrative Competencies Training Program for Female Kindergarten Principals and its Effect on Administrative Practices from Teachers Point of View at Al-Mafraq

Abstract

The study aimed to identify the effectiveness of training program based on administrative competencies for female kindergarten principals in Al-Mafraq governorate and study its effect on their administrative practices from teachers point of view. The study population included all female principals (96) and teachers (138) at kindergartens in the directorates of education in Al-Mafraq governorate. The study sample included all population of the study, due to its small size. To collect the data, a questionnaire of (49) items for the administrative practices was prepared after reviewing theoretical literature and previous studies. Its validity and reliability were checked. A training program was constructed in the form of a training guide for administrative competencies of kindergartens principles. The results of the study revealed the existence of statistically significant differences due to the effectiveness of the training program proposed on all areas. No significant differences were found in terms of effectiveness on administrative practices among the kindergarten principles from the perspective of teachers, ascribed to the variables of academic qualifications, years of experience and age. Several recommendations were suggested regarding to the results of the study. Key Words: Administrative Competencies, Administrative Practices, Kindergartens, Training Program.
