The Role of Social Systems in Supporting Integrity and Combating Corruption A Social Study Using Content Analysis Method

Corruption is a threatening phenomenon that threatens countries, communities development, and their future generations. In order to combat corruption, governments and their agencies speared efforts to define corruption, its types, and indicators.
The importance of this study lies in illustrating the power of the Kingdom social systems, and providing sociological theory viewpoint that explains the existence of corruption in the society and its institutions.
This study seeks to define corruption concepts and analyze some of the social systems to indicate their effectiveness in promoting integrity values and combat corruption.
The study relied on content analysis approach. A form was designed for content analysis of studied units, represented by some Kingdom social systems: Basic Law in Saudi Arabia, Control and Investigation Board, National Anti-Corruption Commission, and education policy.
The most significant results of the study reveals the existence of numerous social systems responsible for promoting integrity values and combating corruption. Their contents were strong and effective, as they identified corruption types, its gradual combating mechanisms; rising awareness, surveillance, and investigation; besides coordination between responsible systems and direct follow-up of the Acting Prime Minister, His Majesty the King.
The prominent recommendations are the urge for developing community religious deterrent to achieve self-restraining. In addition, the dissemination of integrity values such as the faithfulness, transparency, and accountability to become a social culture. Improving the supervising agencies qualification and number, in addition to granting them full authority to perform their functions is a needed task.
