The Effect of Adhering to Morals in Higher Education on Promoting Integrity and Combating Corruption in Saudi Community

Abstract

This study focuses on examining the effect of adhering to morals in higher Education on promoting integrity and anti-corruption activities in the Saudi community with special attention to the role of the National Anti-corruption Commission (Nazaha). An inductive analytical approach was applied to doctrinal script and the current status of higher education to expose the importance of morals in higher education, review the efforts to incorporate morals in courses to guide students towards supporting integrity and combat corruption in addition to the related national activities. The study falls in an introduction and three chapters; the first represented the importance of education in promoting integrity and combating corruption using the story of the prophet "Shuaib", peace be upon him, as an example. The second chapter discussed the role of higher education in developing students morals, while the third revealed the effect of cooperation between Higher education and Nazaha to improve students morals. The study indicated the importance of enhancing morals in education using Quranic stories. It also emphasized the important role of higher education in promoting integrity and combating corruption in addition to the importance of cooperation between Nazaha and Saudi Universities to achieve the sustainable development vision of the kingdom in 2030. The study recommended that higher education courses should be developed to maintain the students morals in addition to encouraging them to participate in national activities related to improving integrity and combat corruption.
