Peruse on Najeeb Mahfouzs Literary Text "Thartharah Fawq Al-Neil" (Chat over the Nile)

Abstract

This study tries to touch the literary text from the inside. It chose a novelistic text entitled "Thartharah fawq Al-Neil" (Chat over the Nile) for the great novelist "Najeeb Mahfouz". The study tried to peruse the text from inside the text itself, to present a vision of this text. Therefore, it aimed to peruse the general tune of the text, former studies of the novel, and the novel perusal. The later perusal was divided into titles significations in addition to the characters; their worries, symbolism, thoughts, literature, and the artistic perusal of the novel. Thus, the literary text stays alive and perusable. The study concluded that "Najeeb Mahfouz" attained high level of culture, opinions following, and various cultural and criticism schools. in addition, none of the literary text characters can be omitted or replaced by another one.
