Rule formulation between exception to negation and affirmation

Abstract

This study deals with the signification of the exception to rule formuation when it occurs in the course of negation and affirmation from a scholastic point of view supported by the viewpoint of grammarians in general. The controversy over the issue is among scholars as well as grammarians. The majority of both factions – scholars and Basra grammarians have a judgment in common. With regard to exception, they have a judgment in common, too Most of the Harafis favour Al-Kissa’e, a fufic grammarian. The issue is, in fact, discretionary.
