Abstract

The preset investigates the stylistic feature of using the first person singular pronoun in reference to Allah in some cases in the Holy Quran, the Muslim Holy Book. It undertakes a qualitative analysis of the occurrence of the first person pronoun in singular and plural forms, comparing these two types of reference. It then studies the functional aspects of this phenomenon in the other parts of the Quran. The result of this comparison shows high level of agreement between the random sample and the rest of the Quranic text.
