Abstract

Commercial signs crowded streets and public places in Saudi cities and became part of their physical character. The main purpose of this paper is to restore coherence and harmony and consequently amenity of the built environment. The paper consists of three main parts: The first part discusses importance of coherence and harmony in the built environment, the second part deals with the visual aspects and aesthetics, while the third part concentrates in the legal aspects of controlling street signs.
